Thanks, Ann. I have a burgeoning basket of useless remedies myself. As with so many ailments for which there aren't easy fixes (or none at all), we get desparate and waste our money on miracle cures. You may recall that I have a son with severe autism. We've been bombarded over the years by quacks and scam artists. Unfortunately some other parents we know have fallen for one or more of these "miracles" -- and wasted precious time that should have been spent on the proven, but slow-to-work, therapies.

Although I gotta say, one of the "amazing sciatic pillows" I bought is doing great work now. That pillow is so heavy under the covers, it's almost immovable. It easily keeps my right foot from falling into pain-producing positions when I sleep.

Maybe I can write a future column on the miracle cures that aren't. If you have any pariticularly interesting examples to share, let me know.

Take care,

Steve

Oh my, I have a very large container of suppose remedies, none worth spending your money for relief. Keep moving, you are not by yourself! Thanks for the post.

Rooting for you, Steve. But, not the Pirates😜 I’m praying your dream will come true. Glad to hear your pain is decreasing.
